About This Place

I like riding bicycles. The wind in my face, the cool rush of air beneath the tires, the quick spin of the cranks. The late Ian Hibell called it “delicious.” I am failing for a more appropriate word. I mostly ride my bicycle in and around the bluegrass region of central Kentucky. The area is famous for it’s bucolic horse farms, which are often shrouded behind high hedgerows, hence the title. I often wonder, what’s over the hedgerow?

I think this weblog will mainly focus on bicycling, but the occasional post about food or coffee or beer or whatever else is catching my attention may find it’s way on here. Recipes, ride reports, photos and videos I shoot. Whatever I post here, I hope you enjoy it.
